Union Road. A former electronics store that’s traded in one form or another since the mid-century — the yellow “TELESONICS” lettering above the door is original, hand-set in a font you don’t see anymore, still holding on under the peeling render. These days the window’s crowded with fans, kettles and second-hand curios; the old Video & TV Repairs decals stayed put.
I walked past this shop over fifty times before I got the light right and no cars parked out the front.
