Sandra and her Italian mother ran this milk bar and deli for decades — ham and fresh rolls for tradies at lunchtime, salami for the local kids after school, news about the neighbours passed across the counter along with the change. It’s been closed for years now, up for sale, likely to be pulled down.
I drive past it every morning on the school run. Amazing how the light changes on it each season.
